Hyde Park Arlington VA Description
Hyde Park was built in 1973 and then converted into condos in 1980. It is located in the southern most tip of the Ballston neighborhood. Situated along Glebe Rd and Henderson Rd, it is right next door to the Harris Teeter grocery store and just four blocks away from the Ballston Metro.
Hyde Park excels at being a full service building. They have security 24 hours a day, an outdoor pool, a party room, a picnic area, and even a few shops along the ground floor of the building.
The units at Hyde Park feature parquet hardwood floors, gas cooking, large closets, and every condo has a balcony. Hyde Park floor plans are considerably larger than some other Ballston counterparts like Ballston Park, Windsor Plaza Ballston, or Lexington Square. In fact, Hyde Park will have some of the largest floor plans in all of Arlington.
Condo fees are slightly higher at Hyde Park, but with good reason. They cover all utilities, pool service, a private park for grilling, and garage. The downside to this is that condo fees also include a common laundry room. There are no washer or dryers in-unit at Hyde Park. A slight inconvenience depending on how important this is for you.
When it all comes down to it, Hyde Park is a slightly older building that has generous floor plans and lots of amenities. There are some units that have not been touched since 1973, while others will make you think you walked into Wooster Mercer. Seriously. Hyde Park is what you make of it. The community is set up to provide a high quality of living and most residents take full advantage of this.
