Bryce Harper Does Not Renew Lease at Arlington Condo

Bryce Harper has chosen not to renew his lease at his penthouse condo in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, VA, according to a source.

Harper had been leasing #M603 at the luxurious Wooster Mercer community for the past few years. The unit was listed on the rental market in October and a new tenant was found on November 20th. The new tenant will be paying $6,250 per month in rent.

The two-story, NY loft-inspired penthouse condominium features 2 bedrooms + den, 2.5 bathrooms, over 2,000 square feet of living space and two separate outdoor entertaining spaces.

Prior to living in Rosslyn, Harper had been living in the Pentagon City neighborhood.

Harper’s former condo may look familiar to some as it was once owned by former Washington Capitals’ defenseman Mike Green. Green bought the condo in 2008 for $1.6M. He lived in the residence for five years before selling the unit in 2013 for $1.52M, at which point he purchased a home in the Franklin Park neighborhood of McLean.

It is not the first time a D.C. athlete has lived in the same property that another athlete once inhabited. In 2010, Capitals’ center Nicklas Backstrom bought his north Arlington house from former Caps’ goaltender Jose Theodore for $2M.

No word on whether Harper has found a new residence in the D.C. area.
