Former Washington Wizards’ center Marcin Gortat has listed his Arlington home for $1.9 million.
Gortat originally bought the home in 2014 for $1.57 million. The five-bedroom, five bath French Provincial style home features 3,000 square feet of living space, Thermador appliances, Omega cabinets, wide-plank hardwood floors, a steam shower, radiant floors in the master bathroom and a wet bar downstairs.
On July 10, 2014, Gortat signed a 5-year, $60 million contract to stay with the Wizards.
On September 19, 2014, Gortat closed on the home in the Cherrydale neighborhood.
According to a source, the home set an all-time record for price-per-square foot in the 22207 ZIP when Gortat purchased it for $526/square foot. That record was subsequently broken by another home in the four-home community of Farrington Ridge (that home is ironically also back up for sale as well).
Gortat played five seasons with the Wizards from 2013 – 2018 and was traded in June 2018 to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Austin Rivers.
