After spending a few seasons in the Association, Langdon took his talents to the Euroleague where he made stops in Italy and Turkey before flourishing with CSKA Moscow. Langdon helped to lead CSKA to two Euroleague titles in his first three seasons with the club. He was even named Final Four MVP in 2008 as he dropped 21 points on Maccabi Tel Aviv to help seal the title for the Red Army.
Langdon is arguably one of the best American basketball players who has gone to Europe to play ball. Before Euroleague and the NBA, the Alaskan Assassin set the school record for most 3-pointers made at Duke University. That record has since been broken by J.J. Redick.
Okay, on to the real estate part…Langdon is listing his 7-bedroom, 5,448 square-foot home in the heart of the spring market, but he faces some stiff competition. No home in Lyon Park has ever sold for $2 million or more. Just down the road in Ashton Heights on Lincoln Street, 515 was once listed at $1.8M some 52 days ago, but they have since dropped their price $50,000 (!) as no buyers have stepped up to the plate.
(There is also a newer home coming for sale in Lyon Park for $1,999,999, but with only 3 bathrooms, it is doubtful it will be part of the $2M conversation). Editor’s Note: It has 4.5 bathrooms. The listing is now live.
And while we are at it, 19 N Highland was listed for $2,199,000 in 2014 before eventually selling 497 days later for $1,775,000.
If any home will sell for $2M in Lyon Park, it could be Trajan’s Arts and Crafts style home. Located right across the street from the über-popular Lyon Park, the home offers great curb appeal, while still being a few homes separated from Pershing Drive. I am a fan of Pershing. Especially since the speed limit was lowered to 25 miles per hour. But home buyers shy away from the street.
3120 Pershing is feeling the effects as it was originally listed at $4M in 2014. After sitting on the market for quite some time, the palatial Delhi Dhaba estate has since hired a new real estate company and is now on the market for $2,399,000. Okay there’s obviously more to this one than just being on Pershing, but you get the point. Homes on Pershing take longer to sell. No doubt about it.
Langdon’s home boasts elegant touches like a six-burner stove, wide-plank hardwood floors throughout, 10-foot ceilings, a library, a fully finished basement recreation room with a wet bar, and one of the biggest shoe-closets you will ever see!
After finishing his time with CSKA, Trajan returned home, not only a champion, but also with a beautiful wife Tatiana. They now have three kids; Anya, Tayden, & Troy who made good use of the community park just steps from the front door. Rumor has it that Trajan could been seen at Orange Park on several different occasions shooting hoops with some of the local kids while on walks with his dog. Trajan, Tatiana, and their kids will be missed around the neighborhood, but they are on to bigger and better things.
Langdon had been working for the San Antonio Spurs as a scout for the past few years. In March, Langdon was named Assistant GM of the Brooklyn Nets.
