Brand New Apartments Quietly Start Leasing in Ashton Heights

On Monday November 3rd, 905 Jackson officially started leasing their 13-unit building in Ashton Heights. The rental building is located at 905 N Jackson Street and is about halfway between the Virginia Square and Clarendon Metro Stops.

The complex was built by TJO Construction and the lease-up is being handled by City & Suburban Real Estate Brokerage.

905 Jackson features 3 levels of living as well as a garage at ground level. Floor plans range from a 1 Bedroom + Den (literally there’s just one), all the way up to 3 Bedroom 3 bath layouts. In fact, most are 3 Bed 3 Bath.

The units feature hardwood floors in the living space and carpet in the bedrooms. As soon as you walk in you will immediately notice the enormous kitchens. They offer tons of cabinet space and huge breakfast bars which is great for entertaining. Most living areas feature large windows. Bedrooms are spacious and many have walk-in closets.

Most Similar To: Arc 3409 (if they were rentals), Beacon at Clarendon West, 1919 Clarendon, Clarendon 3131 (not as nice as 3131 but similar concept, and hard to find rentals here)

My unedited opinion:

This is certainly a great alternative to the “hotel style” apartments where you walk in, the concierge asks you how your day was, you pass by 20 people in the lobby including that girl that you awkwardly tried to ask out for coffee once (oh wait, that was just me?). If want amenities, a full-service building, and a big social environment, you have those options in Clarendon already. 905 Jackson appeals more toward the person that works during the day and enjoys the more calm atmosphere at night. It’s walking distance to Clarendon (10 minutes) but still far enough off Wilson where foot traffic is kept to a minimum. It’s a low-key building in a B+ location that offer huge floor plans at prices that are bordering on being below-market.
